Hatte vor kurzem das gleich Problem mit meiner German Members Group bei
Animepaper.net
Sehe gerade, dass ja wohl jeden Monat ein neuer Lieblings-Anime kurz umschrieben
werden soll.
Wie wärs mit einem Contest zu diesem Anime (z.B. Vector,
Wallpaper oder auch Banner/Header)?
Wow, I've never had to complain about since now (ok, one complain about the
monochrome scans).
I just recieved message that my scan "Elwing" was deleted because a
new one with higher resolution was uploaded. Well ok, but I updated mine because
I get a new scanner and made bigger scans. The exactly resolution is 4031 x 5000
px which is higher as the one someone uploaded some hours ago.
Well, it's easy to see why the scan was deleted.
It doesn't require the minimum size of 1.000.000 px.
The hole scan meets this size but the extracted character in that scan (Naruto
or an other one) must be minimum 1.000.000 px. That's not the case in your scan.
Well, I really like the abstract section. I often go there, fav some cool work
and download it.
I have a special file on my PC and like to look on these great pieces of art.
Yeah, there are some works which are really poor done but nobody is perfect.
But let the users decide in the poll to keep it or not.
I would be very sad but if all decide to erase it I would accept it ^.^
Kei is the owner of BYTM. All the scans you can find on this page are forbidden
to upload at Minitokyo.net because he doesn't want them to be uploaded.

To tell the truth it's clear why these scans above were deleted from the
gallery.
Take each pic alone from the three on the left side and they don't meet the
criteria of scan submissions. The are beautiful but to small because they are
under the minimum of 1.000.000 px.
Sorry for that but I thought you like to know ^.^
Anyway, the scans are beautiful and I cry out loud "THANKS" for
sharing them with us
Well, I know the mods are really strict at the monochrome section.
It's a bit blurry and some pixels are grainy and I think that's the reason it
was deleted. Same happend to me with some black/white scans.
Can someone explain me why this scan of mine has been deleted?
I scanned it from my You Shiina Illustration Vol. 1 Artbook and need to know
because I have a lot of this kind of scans which I like to submit ^.^
They are all drawn in the same style and can be seen in my gallery at AP

Yes, there should have been an announcement about the fact that scans from AP
are not allowed here.
But Marissa stated it out clear that that's the fact why your scans has been
deleted.
It's a nice touch from you that you would like to give proper credit about the
source of the scans you submit but it's useless because AP scans aren't allowed.
That's the reason why your scans has been deleted and I don't think there is a
need of explaining it again because Marissa did so.

Well, I think we can keep MT alive and active without "stealing" scans
from AP.
I know that you're a member at AP. But I don't get the problem about the
"not enough paper" fact. It' s not hard to earn them. If you don't
upload scans (like me) you can comment on walls, participate in the forum and a
lot more things to earn papers. I have one friend who never ever uploaded a
scan/wall but has a lot of papers because she participate in the community.
I also know that a lot of the members of AP are also members here.
Maybe it takes some time to upload their scans? I have a lot of scans
(selfscanned from my artbooks) but can't submit more then 8 pics in 24hours.
It's a fact that I don't have the time to sit on my pc every day and upload
them. Maybe some other members has the same problem?

First, as I started here with submitting scans and walls (didn't know about AP
at this time) it was fun. I submitted a lot which was not done by me and never
had any problems with it.
Now, I'm starting to submit my own scans and scanned my hole Artbook Collection.
Some of my works got deleted because of that "mature content" thing.
Well, if you don't want them you don't get that scans. I don't see what's so bad
about a scan which there is not a single bit naked breast or genitales to see.
Just the fact, that the scan is a bit offensive caused the deletion of

Other fact with my walls. I'm not the best artist, I never thought so.
But I don't get it why a wall which was my fav (more favs like the others) was
deleted after one year. OK, I thought "Shit happens". Same with some
of my own work. Submitted a vector, get many favs for it, user told me
"great work" and after one month it got deleted. Same standard message
like anyone get.
And that's the fact which angers me the most. I know that's a lot work to do to
write every single message to the user by yourself but that "automated
messages" didn't help the user to get what's wrong with the work.
And yes, MT has become more stricter. Not only scans but most wallpapers.
I always thought that AP is the strictest community with walls. But they
accepted all of my work. MT didn't do so.
I also think that it's very harsh to write a member he/she hadn't spend enough
time on his/her work. You know, everyone spend a lot of work in their
art!
One fact makes me mad the most:
Why is MT so slow? I need over 10 minutes to upload my scans!
So I need the hole evening to submit some of my scans and if I take the time to
do so I can only upload 8.
I think MT has a lot problems to solve but it's also a fact that you didn't can
do it so that everyone is satisfied with the result.
Now I understand!
I couldn't find an explanation so I need to ask.
I will wait for 24 hours and submit the next 8 of my scans.

I have a problem and read the FAQ (couldn't find an answer), read the policy
(couldn't find an answer) and searched the forum (couldn't find an
answer).
I currently scanning my "Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne Artbook" and submitted
some scans. Before that I scanned my "Mai HiME Artbook".
I wanted to submit another scan but get this message:
" You cannot post more than 8 submissions in 24 hours. "
Can someone explain to me why?
Why can't I upload as much scans as I like?
I'm very busy over the week and can submit most of my scans on the weekend.
Minitokyo has become really slow and so one scan needs over 10 minutes!
I uploaded some vectors some time ago.
Yesterday all of them were deleted.
I get an explanation with the message but I don't understand the meaning of
it.
Here is what I get:
"The artwork/doujinshi you have submitted
entitled ... was removed from Minitokyo because it was deemed not to be a
clearly planned art piece. Please only submit work that you have finished to a
certain degree and show effort and planning. In-progress works are not
allowed.
The artwork/doujinshi you have submitted may
have also appeared to have been traced and not hand-drawn. Please only submit
items that you have drawn by yourself and not by copying another's work.
Also bear in mind that uploading pictures taken
with a camera results in poor uploads- please scan your
doujinshi."
I don't have the links to the deleted vectors but I opened a thread in the
sandbox with all the vectors I'm speaking about.
I made a couple of vectors some time ago.
Unfortunatly all of them were deleted yesterday, but I don't understand the
explanation. I will ask the mods. Until than I upload my vectors here.

Oh yes I thought so some days ago. I lost my job which I had to start in the
middle of september because my future boss decide to take another person
although she already told me that I have the job.
I totally want to change myself and so I cut my long hair. Now I have short hair
and feel a bit better.

I don't understand the deletion because:
1. It was a planned art piece. I think someone would use it for a wall. Or maybe I for myself.
2. It was finished!
3. Sure it was traced: It's a vector!
4. Quality is alright.
